With the University and State Sports Centre Salzburg/Rif, the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and the Wood Technology College in Kuchl, renowned educational institutions shape the academic landscape in and around Hallein/Bad Dürrnberg.

The basis for a successful start into professional life is formed by 10 compulsory schools and 5 secondary schools, where a total of 6,000 pupils receive their school education. Among them are the fashion school or the HTL for wood, metal and sculpture professions – here pupils find an experimental field for many exciting professions and receive sound knowledge for their future. For those who want to pursue a career with an apprenticeship, the many training companies in the city offer direct access to an apprenticeship.
