Get on the bus and enjoy the experience! Since 1 April, the world-famous HOP ON HOP OFF buses also stop in Hallein seven days a week! “Salt Mine, Eagle’s Nest & Historic Old Town Hallein” is the name of the new tour.
Hop on the bus and enjoy the experience! From 1 April 2025, the world-famous HOP ON HOP OFF buses will be stopping in Hallein again seven days a week! The tour is called ‘Blue Line – Salt Mines, Kehlsteinhaus & Historic Old Town of Hallein’. It starts at Mirabellplatz in Salzburg and takes you via Hellbrunn Palace and the Untersbergbahn valley station to Hallein. There you can hop on and off at two stops: the Celtic Museum and Perner Island. The HOP ON HOP OFF tour continues to the show mine on the Dürrnberg, the Zinken lifts and then via the Kehlsteinhaus to the Bavarian neighbours in Berchtesgaden. As usual with the popular HOP ON HOP OFF buses, an audio guide is provided on the tour – so you have all the information you need.

The ‘Blue Line’ runs daily from April to September and stops in Hallein at the following times:
• Hallein Old Town/Celtic Museum: 09.32| 12.32 | 15.32
• Hallein Perner Island: 09.34 | 12.34 | 15.34
• Salzburg Salt Mines/Celtic Experience Mountain: 9.44 | 12.44 | 15.44
• Hallein/Bad Dürrnberg Zinkenlifte: 9.46 | 12.46 | 15.46
