The queen of wild bathing

Although no longer an insider tip in Salzburg, for fans of river bathing the Königsseeache is a must in summer.
With its secluded bays, the more than refreshing water even at tropical temperatures and the idyllic alluvial landscape, it has lost none of its original charm.

Whether you want to literally swim against the current while bathing in the Ache – recommended as a workout, simply cool off for a short while or let yourself drift a bit on the air mattress: No outdoor pool can keep up. A picnic on one of the pebble beaches is also a fine thing. Barbecues are not allowed, however, and nude bathing is also not permitted. Otherwise, nothing stands in the way of “wild” swimming fun.
