A city garden for all the senses
After decades behind closed gates, the forest garden in the heart of Hallein’s old town is finally open to everyone – as a green retreat that combines tranquillity and socialising.
Covering around 4,500 square metres, a nature trail, benches, deckchairs, a sensory path and a balancing device invite visitors to relax. The garden was designed based on ideas from a broad participatory process. Not everything is finished yet, but one thing is already clear: the forest garden is a special place that adds another green oasis to Hallein.
