In the footsteps of red marble
One thing in particular is world-famous in Adnet: the reddish marble that has shaped the municipality in Tennengau for thousands of years. The Romans are said to have established quarries here for its extraction. You can learn interesting facts about its formation, further processing and everything else there is to know about this precious stone at the Adnet Marble Museum.
A path also leads through the marble quarries, where the valuable red stone was mined for extraordinary buildings and works of art. You will also gain an insight into the hard work involved in marble extraction. If you want to train not only your mind but also your body, you will find a Kneipp facility and an outdoor fitness park in the marble quarries, among other things.
