It all starts with the most important basic ingredient – attitude. This leads to honest, authentic and exciting culinary experiences, rooted in our homeland and enriched with influences from all over the world. In doing so, we explore corners of our city and its surroundings and tell parts of Hallein’s history. For us, it’s about what you do and how you do it. ‘How is something made, why is it made that way, what is the philosophy behind it?’ The philosophy of the Genusskrämerei is partly derived from a classic ‘Krämerei’, a small shop where it is always worth taking a look around and being surprised by what you can find.
