Running alongside the Inn and Salzach rivers, this cycle route connects key locations in the history of salt, including Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden, Salzburg and Hallein. Along the way, river landscapes, historic townscapes and views of the Alpine region alternate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here in Hallein, the history of salt becomes particularly tangible. As a town of salt and the Celts, the place is closely linked to \u2018white gold\u2019. The medieval town centre, Perner Island and cultural sites such as the Celtic Museum make the stage through Hallein very varied. The Salz-Schleife is therefore more than just an ordinary cycle route.
