Leib und Seele.

Food keeps body and soul together, as the saying goes. In Hallein we say: if you cook with a passion and combine traditional recipes with modern cuisine, then food tastes really special.

The gastronomic diversity in Hallein is huge. Among other reasons, this is due to the fact that foreign cultures have always been leaving their culinary footsteps in Hallein's cooking pots. Thanks to the special location, traders brought exotic spices and specialities to the town a very long time ago. This diversity and the openness to new ideas can still be tasted today. In combination with the region's down-to-earth cuisine, the result is a mixture that's difficult to resist.
