Exhibitions of the Tennengau Cultural Society in the Hallein Historical Quarter
The TKK ("Tennengauer Kunstkreis" - Tennengau Cultural Society) is a non-profit association run on a volunteer basis, whose adopted goal is to utilize exhibitions, talks, readings and art trips in order to promote a general appreciation for culture within the Tennengau and the broader SalzburgerLand. Furthermore, the TKK looks to provide a forum for regional artists to present their works and thus garner greater attention for their efforts.
In September 2008, the association opened the pro arte art space located at No. 5 Schöndorferplatz 5.
The barrel-vaulted ceilings dominating the ambience say much about the nature of the pro arte exhibition areas, representing the unity between continuity and change; not least of all, the society strives to open doorways for fertile exchange with the young people who live and study at the Kolping near by.
Aside from hosting six to eight exhibitions annually, the association is also involved with organizing art trips, readings and workshops. Beyond that, during the regular school year, Professor Josef Zenzmaier offers weekly courses focused on nude sketching as yet another means towards individual artistic fulfilment.
