In the Footsteps of the Celts
Set out on a journey of discovery on the trail of the Celts. Just a few steps from the salt mine is the reconstructed Celtic village, offering unique insights into the life of the Celts 2500 years ago. The original finds from the excavations on the Dürrnberg and the grave chamber of a Celtic prince give visitors a fascinating glimpse into the distant past.
A visit to the prehistoric mine shaft provides an up-close impression of how arduous the search for "White Gold" on the Dürrnberg must have been! Aside from the salt mine, the Celtic village is also a highlight for visits by businesses and clubs, as well as for school groups, families and children!

From the Celtic village and the salt mine, it is just a few minutes to the "Keltenblitz" Alpine Slide. With the chairlift you will enjoy a comfortable ride up the Zinkenkogel - and then, all of the daredevils amongst you will hurtle on the Keltenblitz all the way back into the valley. If you prefer something sportier and more physically active, we recommend taking a hike up to the summit, followed by the same ride back down.
TIP: Take advantage of our ALL-IN-ONE TICKET - pay one time and visit 4 different attractions. With the All-in-One Ticket, you only pay for entrance to the salt mine - present your salt-mine tickets, and entrance to the Celtic Museum, Celtic Village & Silent Night Museum is free.
